BENEFITS OF SQUARE TUBE DESIGN

The Square Tube Industrial ESD Workbench, has square leg frames and channels. This provides durability and stability when working. These support channels help provide a sturdy work platform, as it distributes weight evenly.

BENEFITS OF CANTILVER DESIGN

The Cantilever style bench is more desirable for workers who sit through the day or move along a bench. This design is ideal for more space under the workbench, as the support legs are at the rear. This gives workers more leg room underneath the bench.

The framework has with large feet that extend from the back to the front of the bench. The heavy duty steel construction keeps the overall frame rigid. The benefit of this is that less metal is facing the user during their work. This allows maximum leg room.

The other benefit of cantilever legs is that there is more space at the front of the bench. This means a user can operate unimpeded and has more room for under desk storage. The user also always has easy access to the back of the bench if required.

HAVE YOU THOUGHT OF HEIGHT ADJUSTABLE ESD WORKBENCHES?

Height adjustable electrical workbenches offer the same properties as the other workbenches, but with the facility to alter the height. You can easily adjust the height with a rotary hand crank. A few quick turns and the height is set for each individual user. This is a great option to have when multiple employees are using the same ESD table or you have a shift pattern.

A height adjustable anti-static workbench is also more ergonomic. When working on small or delicate parts this is important. By supporting workers and making their workstation comfortable, you in turn improve efficiency and accuracy. Qualities that are essential in the electronics industry.

WHICH WORKTOP SHOULD I CHOOSE?

It's important to choose the right worktop with the best static dissipative features for your work. The work surfaces we offer are: Neostat or Lamstat.

Neostat is a grey synthetic rubber. It disallows static electricity to transfer from the user to the electronic component. Lamstat has the same static dissipative properties as Neostat. Except, the worktop is of a grey plastic laminate material.

Therefore, either are suitable for an EPA (Electrostatic Protected Area). They are perfect for use with electronics work and offer the right esd protection needed. Alternatively, these worktops are the best option when creating a soldering station for using a soldering iron.

Properties of Neostat:

• Synthetic rubber based sheet cover for worktop (overall worktop is 20mm thick)
• Surface has a lightly embossed texture to eliminate glare
• Highly resilient to heat, hot solder and flux resistant
• Leakage Resistance: is 106 – 108 ohms
• Light reflection: 29%
• Complies to BS EN 61340-5-1:2001 – Protection of Electric Devices from Electrostatic Phenomena

Properties of Lamstat:

• 8mm Thick plastic esd laminate worktop (overall worktop is 20mm thick with core)
• Resistant to heat, molten solder, oil pot test 20 minutes at 180 degrees and cigarette tests
• Abrasion and scratch resistance Level 3 Class H to EN438
• Leakage Resistance: is 106 – 108 ohms conforming to BS IEC 61340-5-1
• Chemical Resistance: resistant to organic solvents, weak acids, alkaline, petrol and oil
• Meets the requirements of EN438

KIT YOUR EPA WITH ESD ACCESSORIES

Our ESD accessory range offers several options to create your perfect ESD Workstation. Items such as Wrist Straps and Earth/Ground leads provide a safe connection to earth. Whilst the RCD Circuit Breaker is a great way to reduce the risk of serious harm by ongoing electric shocks.
