Durable steel design
Our best-selling Sheffield Cycle Hoops have been manufactured using robust tubular steel. Its strong design makes it the ideal bike storage solution for environments where regular use will occur. This includes schools, workplaces and public spaces. The steel construction makes these hoops resistant to impacts. This helps maintain a professional appearance for longer.
For enhanced protection, we galvanise each bicycle hoop. This ensures these hoops can withstand a variety of outdoor conditions, ranging from the sun and rain to prolonged moisture. A heavy-duty powder coating covers our coloured hoops, which keeps their vibrant appearance for longer. These colours can create an aesthetic look and protect the hoops from scratches as they act as an extra layer.
Combining a galvanised steel base with a protective finish makes these bike hoops ideal for all outdoor areas. Its low-maintenance design makes it easy to care for, even in hectic environments. It also delivers high performance for years to come.
Secure locking support
The Sheffield Cycle Stands U-shape design is simple and effective. Unlike wheel-grip racks, these practical hoops let you lock the whole bike in one secure location. You can also use different cycle locks. From D-shaped locks to traditional chains, these hoops give users flexibility on how to secure their bikes. The hoop's simple design enhances natural surveillance around the bicycle area. This is a great deterrent for bike thieves.
Our high-quality cycle stands are perfect for locking your bike through both the wheel and frame. This ability to support the bike at two points reduces the strain on the bike's integral components, which could cause damage. As a result, your bike remains balanced upright with a reduced risk of falling over.
These practical elements of the bike provide peace of mind to all cyclists, knowing their bikes are secure and protected. The space-saving, recognisable design allows people to store bikes efficiently and practically. Two bikes can comfortably fit on each hoop. These are all key requirements when cycle hoops are installed in shared spaces.
Size Variations
We offer our cost-effective Sheffield Cycle Hoops in a range of sizes. This helps suit the environment where they will be installed. Whether in small car parks or large outdoor spaces, these hoops offer a reliable and easy way to store bikes securely.
Our adult hoops stand at 800mm tall, and can accommodate a variety of standard-sized bikes and motorcycles. As a result, they work perfectly outside of workplaces, commercial premises, and city-centre offices. On the other hand, the 600mm junior hoops work well outside primary schools. They help support smaller bicycles in the same way.
Offering both adult and junior height options enables inclusive cycling parking facilities and improves accessibility. Consistent hoop widths in adult and junior sizes support effective bicycle storage in mixed-age areas, including public parks. You can organise rows in a neat and practical fashion, maximising space. This lets designers create a cohesive design and encourages responsible use and better pedestrian flow.
Secure Installation
When designing our Sheffield stand, we wanted to ensure they can be installed in a range of ways to best suit your environment.
For already stable ground, we recommend surface-mounting these hoops using 10mm para-bolts (not included). Each hoop needs 4 bolts. This installation method offers flexibility because you can reposition or replace hoops without disturbing the ground.
For a more permanent solution, grouting is also an option. This involves setting the hoop in ground pockets with cement. It boosts stability and works well in high-traffic areas. If you are considering grouting, contact our sales team, as they can ensure your hoops come with an additional 250mm length for grouting.
By offering different installation methods, we can help you choose the right option. We will meet your requirements to ensure you have the right cycle shelter for your area. With the right ground preparation, these hoops provide long-term bicycle parking. They are ideal for any public environment.
Widely accepted design
In the UK, the Sheffield U-shaped Hoop is recognised as one of the most common and accepted types of bicycle racks. Its simple design makes it easy to build and use. It is the standard for most bike storage solutions. Because most bike riders know this design, users need no special instructions. This helps riders feel sure their bike is left in a secure place.
The open hoop structure means a wide range of bicycle types and models can be easily locked to these hoops. This ranges from electronic bicycles to daily commuter bikes and even motorbikes. This flexibility makes it a dependable solution for mixed-use environments where various types of riders may require access to secure parking.
The Sheffield Cycle Rack is the preferred bicycle storage choice for many workplaces and developers. Its proven design supports practical, secure parking while maintaining a clean and unobtrusive appearance within the surrounding environment.
