Why are Spill Kits important?

In your workplace, it is important you always have a spill containment kit on hand. Spilled chemicals can harm the environment, as well as your staff. Harmful fumes can be released into the environment which can also be extremely damaging. Our chemical spill kits such as our Loose Granules, will absorb liquids and fumes to ensure all evidence of harmful substances are removed. 

Loose Granules

Our Peat Granules fully absorb harmful liquids and fumes. Unlike typical clay granules, the product will become dry to the touch once absorbed, not leaving behind any residue. 

They are a hydrophobic product, meaning they will not absorb water. This means they can be used within water to separate two products. Up to 20 times less product is required to clean up the same size spill compared to using clay granules. They are also lighter once absorbed, saving you money on disposal costs. 

These loose granules are also sustainable and eco-friendly, meaning while keeping your staff safe, you can also help the environment. 

Absorbent pillows and EcoMats

Pillows and mats are perfect for emergency spills. Simply place the mat or pillow over the spillage, and it will be immediately soaked up. 

Once the hazardous liquid is soaked up, it is important the product is discarded accordingly in a hazardous waste bin. If the spillage was non-hazardous, the mat or pillow can be placed to dry naturally and reused. 

Land Spill kits

Spill kits are available to have in your environment at all times so you can be prepared for leaks or spillages that may occur. Our standard land spill kit can soak up a spillage of up to 200L with refills available. In our spill kits, we make sure to include PPE, to keep your staff safe, along with wipes, disposal bags, a wheelie bin, socks, loose granules and EcoMats.

An extra large land spill kit is also available for environments where larger spillages may occur. This kit includes the same products as the standard, just at a higher volume. This kit also has a refill available.

Marine Spill Kits

Our marine spill kits are ideal for emergency spillages that may happen in places such as ponds, lakes, docks and more. It's important that harmful chemicals do not spread throughout waters and potentially harm wildlife. Therefore, spill kits are vital to contain pollution. Our kits include containment booms, that float on the water, as well as PPE, loose granules, EcoMats, waste bags, wipes and a wheelie bin.

This kit is also available in an extra-large version for larger spills. This contains the same products just in a higher quantity. Refills for both-size marine kits are also available.

Binsky - deployment bin

Our deployment bin 'Binsky' is a great option for transporting loose granules around the workplace. It is manufactured with a front hatch for easy deployment. As well as a broom attachment on the side of the bin to help sweep up the absorbed product. The bin allows you to soak up a spillage of up to 90 litres.

When purchasing the Binsky, you will receive the bin, along with x2 44L loose granules. If you need a refill, this is also available. Supplying you with 2 more bags of 44L granules.
