Simple How to Guide:
Using a hand pallet truck is simple to learn and involves just a handful of essential steps to follow:First thing to do is push the pallet truck fork’s into the pallet truck openings. Use the handle to steer easily into the opening. Usually, you will push down on a control lever and begin pumping the handle which raises the forks and the pallet from the ground. Once you’ve reached your desired spot, or racking system pull the lever up to lower the forks to ground level. You can then put the lever back to a neutral position and pull the truck from out of the pallet opening.
It’s important to follow the manufacturer’s guide to fully understand how to operate your pallet truck. When not in use we recommend storing safely to prevent any damage from fork lifts etc.
Do I require training?
Although specialist training may not be necessary, it remains the employer’s duty to make sure every staff member and operator understands how to use the equipment safely. This is to help avoid accidents from happening and to make sure every team member feels confident. Furthermore, training ensures user’s follow truck procedures, such as maximum load limits and steering clear of ramps, etc.
