This year employees at Workplace Products are really investing their time in helping charities across the UK. After months of hard work and training, our Marketing Manager’s time to shine has come! Aodhan will be competing in a Ultra White Collar Boxing event on the 13th of April. He will be fighting for his chosen charity Macmillan to raise as much money for the charity that is close to his heart. The UWCB event gives people with no boxing background the opportunity to fight against people from similar backgrounds. Also, getting in the best shape ever! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event has some key points that Aodh\u00e1n feels is important to promote. Things like bettering physical and mental health, behaving morally and ultimately raising money for charity! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aodh\u00e1n’s chosen charity: Macmillan details<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Aodh\u00e1n had a number of charities he could’ve chose from but chose on that was close to his heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Macmillan gives people with cancer everything they\u2019ve got. If you\u2019re diagnosed, your worries are Macmillan\u2019s worries. Macmillan\u2019s doing whatever it takes. But without your help, Macmillan can\u2019t support everyone who needs them. As we know, people with cancer do not just suffer with physical changes. During a recent survey, 29% of cancer patients have admitted to experiencing mental health, and 11% of respondents have had to sought advice from a mental health professional. However not everyone is as confident to admit their struggles with mental health. This is also another reason why Macmillan is there. They provide private and confidential help to people living with cancer on a daily basis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
