PROJECT: ESD Cantilever Workbenches

Workplace products were recently approached on behalf of a popular computer technology company with kitting out their workplace top to bottom! So how did we help? Our helpful representatives visited the site to fully understand their requirements and needs to suit their working environment. After an initial meeting, the specification for the Bespoke ESD workbenches was established and we provided 3D drawings along with layout plans of the installation to give them an idea of how good its going to look!

The Brief: Bespoke ESD Workbenches

We were tasked to provide durable workstations ideal for working with computer electrical items. Our client had previously purchased 14 of these the month prior, once getting a feel for their quality they choose to purchase a further 18 to fully kit out their workplace. As workers use hot electrical systems, we choose our ESD workbenches with a Lamstat worktop to be perfect for the job!

The Solution: Why choose ESD Workbenches?

Our Workplace team worked with the idea of placing Cantilever Workbenches back-to-back. At our manufacturing facility in the West Midlands, we had the option to choose between square tube or Cantilever. However, with our client in mind we found Cantilever to be most suited to their electrical needs. Given that, our client required a Total of 18 workbenches, this created three rows of workstations back to back for workers.

The cantilever design worked perfectly for this scenario, as it optimises leg space for seated users and avoids interaction with the workbench framework restricting movement. This is due to the workbenches unique framework, with all 4 leg frames positioned at the rear. We are passionate about ensuring clients get the right workbenches to suit their needs. Therefore, we went the extra mile to ensure they had wired service ducts and brand new ESD chairs to provide the best suggestions for the electrical industry.

Above all, we had to improve safety to provide protection for electrical components, and in addition the workers. These bespoke ESD workbenches are designed to control and prevent electrostatic discharge. An electrostatic discharge is commonly known as an ESD event, which produces electrical heat which could damage devices and their lifespan. As this is a well-known electrical technology business, this is particularly important, as it could be a costly problem for the business.
